We just wanted to say thanks, one more time, to you and Rich for our training at the Conservation Club. You guys did a great job, and we can't tell you how much we learned and what fun we had. When we signed up our thought was, "this is going to be one l-o-n-g day...But, before we knew it the day was over and we weren't ready to quit. Of course, we were out of ammo anyway since we had to share our gun, but we wanted to keep going. You guys are helping to keep our communities a safer place.

Thank you so much for the exceptional CCW/Personal Protection training you provided me this week. I was really impressed at how much personal attention you were able to provide to me and to everyone in the class.

I was a little apprehensive coming into the class. I had inherited my revolver from my mother and had only shot it a few times a couple of years ago. You made me feel fine about that, and I am glad I am learning proper techniques right up front, rather than having to break bad habits. Both Rich and Mike did a great job making me feel competent at my beginner's level of training. I also never felt rushed. If there was a technique I needed to work on, you always stopped and took all the time necessary until I got "it" just right.

There was a lot to learn in the classroom, and I appreciate how you made it relevant and enjoyable as possible. You managed to keep my attention through some pretty dry material. I loved the way you used humor and real life examples to make the information pertinent to what will be happening as I go about my life. It seems like you care a great deal about what you are teaching and the students you teach. It shows and makes a huge difference!

I have taken a few CCW classes in various states over the years, and I must say that viper Security does a bang-up job. Their classes are conducted in a very professional manner, and the owner of the company (and lead instructor) could probably work nights as a a rather popular comedian. He is serious when it comes to firearm safety, though. He's funny enough to make important points stick in one's memory, and serious enough to maintain an air of competence. The support staff is well-trained and professional.

The range is nothing fancy, but it does the trick. Besides, when you're training for defensive pistol usage, do you really want your training to be in a completely controlled environment? This CPL course is more than just the absolute bare-minimum. You get a taste of defensive tactics.

I can only hope they offer an intermediate and advanced course as well for those who want to take their training a step beyond once they obtain their CPL.

I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful experience I had at your CPL class last Saturday (I was the Kimber guy). Having been an old handgun metallic silhouette shooter, my entire handgun experience has been focused around precise sight alignment and trigger pull to hit 200 meter targets. So when you started explaining the basics of defensive shooting it was all new to me. In the class room you all did a great job of providing the explanation, rationale, examples, and real time demonstrations of defensive shooting.

I have had very little practice with my Kimber and have not touched it for years. So at the range I was very nervous when it came time to put what you taught us into action. I soon found my nerves calmed by all of your great instruction at the range. Your coaching, patience, and words of encouragement made everyone feel at ease yet aware of the importance of what we were doing.

At the end of the day, all I could think was, "I don't want this to end", "What else can they teach me?" This just shows what a great job you all do.

I just wanted to thank you and Mike for the ccw training on 5/20/09. When I first heard class was 8 hours, I thought it was going to be a long and boring day. The way that the course was structured was everything but. I had been putting off taking the course not being confident with my shooting skills, but the extra time you and Mike took to show us one-on-one how to use sight & shoot, got me on target and confident. I wish I had taken the course sooner and would advise any 1st timer especially to take this course, which has everything from safety, handling, and proper shooting techniques.

I also wanted to thank you for the class this past Saturday. My wife had been very nervous about possibly being the only woman and she was also not very sure of her skill with a pistol. We also took the course with my father-in-law and we all had a great time. The class session seem to fly by and there was a LOT of great information. My wife even commented that even if we weren't going to actually apply for the CPL, that taking the class was a great thing and helped her to realize things she can do around the house and as she is out to be safer. We both learned a lot about pistol shooting. I have shot them before and was comfortable with them, but I still learned a lot and my wife was really thankful for the instruction. I spoke to many other people with CCWs and they said their range time was indoors (like you guys said) but they shot at bullseye targets and stayed in one spot. Your tactics as far as barriers, multiple assailants, etc. is very helpful and helps prepare for the "just in case" situation. Keep up the good work!

I recently took the CCW/CPL class that Viper Security offers. Overall the class covered all the legalities of obtaining a CPL and was knowledgeable in the information that needed to be covered. The class was taught by experienced LEO's that included their own personal comments and street smarts. This offered a unique perspective on how LEO's interact and respond to CPL holders. Through the classroom portion the instructors maintained professionalism but kept the 5 hour lecture/video/power-point humorous.

…the instructors transformed this environment into safe, motivated, one-on-one range. If you were not an experienced shooter then the instructors were willing to critique and develop you into a proficient shot. Students were trained to shoot from a few feet, to about 10 feet away. Then were put through a cover and concealment training in a highly motivational shoot, move, and communicate style match.

…the instructors have real-world law enforcement experience and know the material well. The instructors are also friendly and courteous. I highly recommend Viper Security for a CCW/CPL training class.

I have been an avid shooter for 13 years and carried concealed in Indiana but I still learned plenty from the CPL course instructed by Rich this past Saturday in Paw Paw. It was an all around great experience and Rich, and his daughter, made even the legal mumbo jumbo entertaining and easy to understand. The range time was fantastic and while they made sure everyone knew and followed the rules I had a fun time at every phase of the instruction and shot at distances I've never done before. The close up point and shoot was especially enlightening. Thanks again for taking the time to instruct me one-on-one in some of the finer points of defensive shooting.
